GRAECO

Ever have two modules go together so well, like peanut butter and jelly?
Well I have two so I decided they should marry and become one.  Introducing the happy marriage of Grains from Ginko Synthese and Echo from Synthrotek!

Links respectively.

I added a vactrol as a vca between them and the vca is normaled to the jacks so that patch is internal.  However if you want to use the Echo and detach it from the grains, all you need to do is insert your new source into the ‘in’ jack.

Went a little crazy on the screenprint and tried a deep pink and subtle grey on a flat black panel.

Moog Minitaur Eurorack module

(UPDATE)  KITS ARE NOW AVAILABLE HERE!!! (/UPDATE)

(UPDATE)  KITS ARE NOW AVAILABLE HERE!!! (/UPDATE)

Well, since there was no good news from Moog this year at Namm regarding Moog Eurorack modules, I guess I will move along my Moog Euro obsession by making my own!  Next up the Minitaur.  This has been the easiest to convert over to the euro standard so far.  Makes me think Moog is just toying with the euro crowd at this point. Let’s hope they are working on modules for us euro freaks.

Moog MF-1001 Eurorack module

Demand for Moog euro is growing.  Here is a converted MoogerFooger I just finished.  These Moog guitar pedals can be converted to fit into the euro format, but there is some real effort in doing so.  However this has to be the creamiest filter I have ever heard, so the effort is justified:)  I might do a run of these conversions.  Up next, possibly the MF-103 Phaser.  If it sounds as good as the filter than again the effort is justified:)

Korg enters Euro-world, well kind of;)

How much fun is this?  Take a new Korg Mini KaossPad 2 and customize it to fit a eurorack modular.  I hope Korg is watching, because they could easily double the price of their current offering just by adding a couple of necessities and putting it behind a panel.  I added attenuation knobs of the incoming left and right channels and then added an amp to both outgoing channels to boost it to modular levels.  I also added a latching switch to the mic input, so you can use it as an effective 3rd channel in.  Using the hold feature is like setting two pots instantly, so fellow wigglers that kinda changes the game as far as immediate performance of your effects in euroland:) Before you write this off as cheesy, look at the list of features this little guy has and compare it to any of your current eurorack modules.

Product Highlights:

Control and modulate a wide assortment of cutting-edge effects with the intuitive touchpad interface

MP3 player with microSD card slot for audio data storage/exchange; add effects to audio without additional equipment!

100 effect programs ideal for putting your own “touch” on any live performance

Virtual crossfader for transitioning between onboard media files and audio inputs. Combine with an external media player – or another Mini Kaoss Pad 2 – for DJ-style performances!

3 Program memory locations instantly recall favorite effects

Includes powerful Looper, Vinyl Break, and Ducking Compressor effects distilled from the Kaoss Pad Quad

Internal mic and external audio inputs for input flexibility

Record performances – with effects performances included – and save them to microSD

6 preset audio demo loops to experiment with right out of the box

Eurorack Speak & Read

I have had so many of these as bent toys that I thought it was time to make a eurorack module of one. Lots of time spent trying to nail down the right registers for the best phonemes and words.  Very fast response means you can use quick triggers and for longer glitches you can use longer gates.  The response has been a little over whelming to this as I knew there were a few out there who loved these, but had no idea that it was this many!!

Well you knew someone was going to do it.  I guess that would be me.  Really wanted Moog in my eurorack for a while.  When I saw the Werkstatt I knew it was my chance.  Made several changes to the Werkstatt.  Changed out the single turn VCO pot for a ten turn pot.  Added a +/- octave button.  Since removing the keyboard the Envelope had no trigger source, so I added two inputs for that.  Hand carved rosewood switch caps because when I think of Moog, I think of black and wood. The VCO’s sound great, but the filter is the reason I did this.  I am now a happy Moog filter tweaker:)

***UPDATE***
I’m working on doing a small run of these. Please check this thread and let me know if you are interested.
